Joining international exchange programs allows medical students to broaden their perspectives, explore different healthcare systems, and develop essential academic and intercultural skills. Through the Professional Exchange program, Center for Indonesian Medical Students’ Activities (CIMSA) provides opportunities for medical students to connect globally and gain international learning experiences. Based on the 2025 RSD assessment conducted by CIMSA UNEJ, many students at the University of Jember showed strong interest in participating in exchange programs but still required more information about the registration process and program opportunities. Therefore, SCOPE CIMSA UNEJ organized ATLAS (Academic Travel & Learning Abroad for Medical Students) X EXPO-X (Exchange Opportunities Exploration) to provide insights and promote international exchange opportunities among medical students.
ATLAS X EXPO-X began with a pre-activity campaign conducted from February 24th to February 28th, 2026 through social media platforms. During this period, the committee shared several informational posts on CIMSA UNEJ’s Instagram account. The posts introduced the exchange program, explained the registration flow, and provided general information about the exchange timeline and opportunities. This campaign aimed to increase students’ awareness and help them better understand the exchange application process before the main event was conducted.
The main activity was held on March 1st, 2026, consisting of a seminar and talk show discussing exchange opportunities. This event was organized in collaboration with CIMSA UMSBY, the collaboration also strengthened the relationship between both local committees while providing participants with a more dynamic learning experience.
During the seminar session, Said Muhammad Fatih Zalami delivered a presentation titled “Exchange Booklet.” In this session, he explained the contents of the exchange booklet, including available countries, program requirements, and important guidelines for applicants. This session helped participants gain a clearer understanding of the technical aspects of the exchange program.
The event continued with a talk show session titled “Exchange Experience,” featuring Izzudin Al Qassam and Syafiq Aufa Rahman. The speakers shared their personal experiences while participating in exchange programs abroad, including academic activities, cultural adaptation, and memorable experiences. Their stories provided participants with valuable insights and motivation to consider joining future exchange programs.
As the final stage of the activity, the committee conducted a social media campaign explaining the exchange registration flow and organized a radio broadcast discussing the same topic to expand outreach. Through these initiatives, ATLAS X EXPO-X successfully promoted international exchange opportunities and encouraged more students to explore global learning experiences.
